Mission – Archer College of Health & Human Services

The mission of the college is to educate a student body from various backgrounds in the health and human service professions through rigorous curricular activities that prepare students to take leadership roles in a competitive, technological, multicultural and global environment, engage students and faculty in the discovery of knowledge through education, research, service, and co-curricular experiences, and extend the boundaries of Angelo State University to enrich the quality of lives, especially for individuals in under-served and vulnerable populations, through inter-professional and community collaborations.

Mission – Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in Texas and across the nation by advancing multidisciplinary science in women’s health. Recognizing that differences matter, we promote health, individually inspired, through scientific investigation, translation of science into practice, and providing outreach that impacts the community for today and tomorrow.

The Archer Foundation has been a strong supporter of Angelo State University and The Laura W. Bush Foundation funding projects focusing on education, health, and science, including The Archer College of Health and Human Services.  The Archer College of Health and Human Services offers programs in Health Science Professions, Kinesiology, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Psychology, and Social Work and Sociology.   The Archer Foundation collaborated with Angelo State University to fund the college to help attract and retain students in the healthcare field to the Concho Valley area.
